Can a porcelain portrait be used on stone, bronze, upright, or ground level monuments?
Yes. It can be used on any smooth, dry surface including mausoleum niches and urns.
How do I send my photograph to you?
You can supply us with an original photo by mail or supply us with a high-resolution digital photo. When mailing in your photo, please be sure to send your clearest original up to a maximum 8 x 10 inch size. We will scan your photo and return it to you with your order. Please protect your photo when mailing it in. We will not be held responsible for any damage or loss that may happen through the mailing process. Do not send photos with frames and glass. Important: If you are sending your photo via the mail, please use priority mail with a tracking system so that you can always trace your envelope if needed.

What size photo do we send?
Donnelly Commemorative Images will reduce or enlarge your most cherished photo, regardless of size, to fit onto the porcelain size you have selected, at no extra charge. Please do not cut or mark on original photo.
Is it better to send a vertical or horizontal photo?
Both can be used. It is best to send a horizontal photo for a horizontal portrait or a vertical photo for a vertical portrait. Please send the highest-quality photo possible. We can retouch it for you if necessary at a nominal fee.
Will I get my picture back?
Yes, we will send the original back to you with your porcelain portrait. We will do our utmost to ensure that your original is not damaged during our scanning process but please note that due to possible mishandling during shipping, we do not accept responsibility for damages or loss of your original photo.
Can we send a copy of the original photo?
Yes, you can however, copied pictures, even those on photographic paper do not yield the best results. An original photo will always produce the best portraits.
Can you change the background on my photo?
Yes, we can replace the background with a gradient or an image from our gallery of backgrounds.
Can I combine two or more images on the same porcelain portrait?
Yes. Donnelly Commemorative Images can crop, combine and add a new background to more than one photo on the same porcelain. Some additional charges may applied.
What is the estimated delivery time for me to receive my portrait?
It will take about 1-2 weeks from the moment we receive the picture, based on availability of stock.
How do I pay for my memorial or portrait?
All orders can be paid directly on our website through PayPal. Simply follow the instructions at the end of our order form. Please note that it is not necessary to have or to open a PayPal account to purchase on our site.
How does the portrait hold up outside?
The portraits will not fade due to sunlight or deteriorate in harsh weather and are fully guaranteed.
How do I installed the portrait on the monument?
You can have the portrait professionally installed by a monument builder. However, many people choose to install the portraits themselves.

Will the 3M VHB tape hold my portrait?
Very High Bond tape by 3M is actually epoxy bound to a tape-like medium. With a 72-hour cure, this adhesive is as good as any epoxy. Please read our section on the 3M VHB tape. Click here
Is there any guarantee on the porcelain portrait?
This product is fully guaranteed against defects in quality and artisanship for the lifetime of the monument. They are also guaranteed against fading and deterioration of any kind. Your portrait will be replaced if you or your family has a problem with defects in quality, artisanship, fading or deterioration.
Are porcelain portraits used on pet monuments?
Yes. It is so difficult when we lose a pet. This is a beautiful way to capture the memories and devotion felt for a pet. |
